On Saturday, October 19 get in your workout, fall apple picking, AND support WEB Du Bois' 8th grade field trip scholarship fund. 5k and 1 mile fun runSaturday, October 19Riiska Brook Orchard, SandisfieldFrom the 8th grade: "We are taking a three day trip to Philadelphia in June and want to make sure everyone can go!"The 5k is $20 to register and runners will receive a shirt. The 1 mile fun run is free for young kids. (The 5k goes down a mix of paved and dirt roads with some rolling hills. The 1 miler passes through mowed paths in the orchard.) All registration fees-- and any additional donations collected -- will support the 8th Grade field trip scholarship fund.Donuts and cider will be availble for sale, as well as apple picking.
